This homemade BBQ sauce has that smoky sweet flavour you know and love, yet is healthier and made without refined sugar. Vegan, GF & healthy.
Combine all the ingredients together in a blender and whizz until super smooth.
Transfer the mixture into a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer over a medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer gently for 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until reduced and thickened. Taste and add more salt if required.
Allow the bbq sauce to cool completely before transferring into an airtight jar to store in the fridge.
This bbq sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
Vegan: Use a vegan Worcester sauce and maple syrup rather than honey.
Gluten-free: Assure your Worcester sauce is GF.
